Mass Effect 2 won't do over a million first week, and FFXIII will easily crack a million first week in Japan. I predict 1.6 - 1.9 million first week in Japan for FFXIII, and thats not just a random number, I crunched the numbers and made a thread about how I got them :)

Don't under estimate the power of Final Fantasy in Japan.

Even the 360 version of FF13 alone will beat Mass Effect 2.

I'm not underestimating Final Fantasy in Japan. I'm noting that Japan will not crack over 1/3 of the PS3 installed base in Japan within a week.

There is a reason to why so little franchises that originated 15 or more years ago still exist and remain popular up to this day. The older the series the harder it is for it to remain popular, not the other way around.

Mass Effect 2 will sell well over 3.5 M on the 360 alone. PC doesn't matter, because people pirate the hell out of PC.

Well I don't really follow the 360 much and have heard of Mass Effect like once (a commercial) so Final Fantasy 13's first week worldwide sales should beat out Mass Effects lifetime sales easily.
