I'd much rather have MGS1,2 & 3 New Play Control or something. On one disk like Metroid Triligy.

Sigh.
The GameCube was far more powerful than the PS2, despite Sony claiming the contrary. And it was definitely more powerful than the PS1, which had the original Metal Gear Solid game.
Snake was in Brawl to make Konami some extra $$$. Darth Vader was in the PS3 version of Soulcalibur IV, did the PS3 get an exclusive Darth Vader game? Will the PS3 get an exclusive Joker game after Arkham Asylum?
MGS5 being on Wii is very different. Firstly, Twin Snakes was a remake, not a new game. Secondly, MGS4 is far beyond anything the Wii could dream of doing, graphically. Doesn't a sequel have to exceed the previous game in graphics? Thirdly, why do you assume the game would sell on Wii? There is no MGS fanbase on Wii, it would likely be a buggy, broken piece of crap with no effort put into it, because Kojima was busy making the PS3 (and 360?) version(s) of the game. If an MGS did arrive on Wii, it would either be a remake of MGS2 or something in the vein of MGS Touch.

Thats even unlikely since newplay controll only applys to gamecube games, thought The Twin Snake is a possible canadite.

The HD consoles have more marketshare than the Wii, and I don't see what marketshare has to do with anything. It's 1 million (if that, more like 400k) on Wii, versus 3 million on 360, versus 4 million on PS3.
@kantor
They could use MGS3 engine with maybe two disks.
...and Marketshare
| tuoyo said: Why would they release it on Wii to sell 1 million when they can release it on PS360 and sell 7 million? |
Or they could quit being stupid and release it on all three and sell 8 million.... seriously developers need to pull their heads out of their asses and realize how much money they are letting pass them by not making a version of their games for the Wii. Think about it: it dosn't cost much -especially relative to 360/PS3 development, it dosn't have to be very nice looking (I mean you are more then welcome to try and you will most likely be rewarded, but we just was a Wii version).
This is not just for MGS - I understand they are Sony exclusive and probably won't even go to the 360 let alone Wii but seriously how many games this gen are there that could have had an extra 500,000 - 1m sales (or more than their HD counterparts) if they had released a version for the Wii - here's a hint: it's a lot.
/end rant
Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.
One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.
Whatever, MGS is not about graphic and you can see that I am right if you play the first game.

If they were using the MGS3 engine, it wouldn't be MGS5! It would be MGS3 Wii Edition!
And what the fuck does marketshare have to do with this? You keep mentioning it, and refusing to explain!
