Ill post the article for you lazy people

"Nintendo's core needs a workout, but it looks like the company may be planning to pump up its casual audience even more at next week's E3 with Wii Fit Plus. Originally uncovered in April via purported retailer listings, the game's title has been officially trademarked by Nintendo in Japan. Heck, there's even a logo for the game. Since the month-old rumor has borne fruit in terms of an accurate title, we're more likely to believe the November 2009 release date it claimed.

Also trademarked by the Big N is Art Academy, a previously unheard -of title with no target platform mentioned. Detailed drawing would seem to lend itself more to DS, though we can't help but imagine a game in the vein of Wii Music in which players "paint" great works of art -- the Mona Lisa, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel -- simply by waggling the Wiimote around"

Anyway, Wii Fit + will sell millions.

Cool, motion plus painting or something like that. Perhaps even sculpting clay or sorts. That Art Academy title could be fun and sells like crazy i quess.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Indeed it will. Now the thing is.. will Nintendo's E3 Press Conference be 50% Wii Fit Plus?

Yes...

The standard Nintendo defence would be "Whenever Nintendo announce core games, the audience hear about them rapidly. Conversely, a casual game gets much wider attention at E3. Therefore Nintendo will use that limited time to show off casual games and leave the core games to other conferences or annoucements."

Which is true, and they certainly did half of that last E3, but there was no follow-up with internally-devleloped core games. They showed off a lot of third-party ones like S&P 2 and Punch-Out but no IS, EAD, Retro, etc. games.

Meh....

Nintendo should make a wide variety of software for all of its audiences but I sure do hope titles like this aren't made at the expense of the core games.

The painting one seems cool, but not as interesting as Wii Music.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

I'm 90% sure that we won't see Wii Fit plus at E3.

Video game companies trademark everything they think about making, or just have the possibility of considering to think about it in the future. If the rumor would be right, and the Wii Fit Plus was in development a month ago, it would mean that they worked on it for months, possibly since the release of Wii Fit, and didn't even bother trademarking it until now.

ouch, that does sound like it's going to be headlining e3.

Oh well, this will sell lots of consoles to those people who wanted to get the console in the first place and never did later because wii fit was then many months old.

Will Art Academy be as awesome as Mario Paint?

Critics say "no."
