Guitar Hero has been dead to me since GHII. All after that were absolute trash.

Imo, Neversoft/Activision killed the series.

Why?  didn't like the songs? or just didn't like that type of game?

Yes. The songs were terrible. And they changed the gameplay slightly to make it easier to hit notes as well as hammer-ons and pull-offs.

This is why I prefer Rock Band. There have been two RB titles. Track Packs = DLC on Wii/PS3/360 so we won't count those.

Even with Lego Rock Band, it doesn't seem like MTV Games is milking it to death.

They need to just stick with one guitar hero and have DLC for the extra songs

They should just make one guitar hero game every five years and release all the new content and songs as DLC. It would save us consumers from having to pay $60 every time new stuff comes out.

It's been repetitive. We've needed some innovation in it for awhile but the one game that did provide that you bashed like holy hell. Ya get what ya ask for haha. And they will milk it.

Buy Rockband, its 100x times better then GH.

Well, it's timing is closer to a real guitar now, because playing the right notes with pretty much the right timing, sounds like the song. Though I do miss being the master. My little cousins can now beat expert on GH3, tell them to go back to 2 and they have trouble, go back to 1 and they suck.

Now, for the actual topic of the thread... Renting the game is the best. Beat every song on it, return it, done.

Well that may be, I personally found it to be a little less fun. Of course everyone's opinion is different, that's just my two-cents.

I stopped playing guitar hero in 2007 Rock band 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GH series

This!

Long Live SHIO!

It got reeaally boring after the second Guitar Hero. The third was okay but the rest was just useless. It's just getting really confusing now with all the spin-offs.
