It could be the new IP that Kojima was reported to have been working on ever since MGS4 came out.
Whatever it is, it better be big. He better not be putting all of us through this countdown crap for Portable Ops 2.

Because Metal Gear Solid is the name of the 3D series, and Metal Gear is 2D.

Well, they first showed off MGS4 at TGS05, less than a year afer MGS3 released.
Seems Kotaku took down the article. It's not showing through the link, and I can't find on their site. Well, the video still holds up
