I don't think his post is that crazy... he put up numbers and stating some things like prices in various regions and game offerings this year.

The "doom" language is pushing it though, still just look past that. I agree in that both are head to head with xbox 360 offered for a very low price while PS3 is still pretty high and that should make MS worry a bit. What if PS3 was offered at the same price? With this economic trouble it is a bit amazing that PS3 is selling just as good as xbox 360.

So yea, of course this is trouble for MS, they don't want their competition to be so close to their sales and with prices drops already exhausted somewhat for MS, Sony has more "tactics" to use (just a freaking price drop, not a clever thought) but Sony seems against price drops so MS can worry less for now.

Actually, I'm pretty sure ps3 will be ''dead'' if it doesn't get a price cut this year. Seeing how you worship it to death you should probably worry.

Microsoft cheated the consumer by launching a faulty, unreliable system in the XBox 360 a year ahead of PS3 to pick up a 5.5 million to 6 million head start on PS3.

Microsoft should stick to software your not cut out to make hardware.

The 360 could have two or three years left in it to run before it disappears from the market.

^PS3 outsold 360 by around 1 million back in same period of 2008. Now only 300k 360 lead over PS3 in 2009, PS3 remains at the same price of $399 as last year. PS3 is catching up to the 360 in sales and is priced a lot higher than 360.

Here is why you are wrong, and please, anyone, feel free to correct me if I am not absolutely 100 percent correct. Crazzy, please, talk to me bro. You are wrong because:

A. The PS3 has a lot of "value" the 360 doesn't. Consumers know this, yet so far, the majority still chose a 360.

B. The 360 is cheaper, however, MS has stated that the Arcade is not their highest selling sku. It is not as much cheaper as most would assume. Especially considering the PS3s "value."

C. Price is not the only determining factor. Things such as marketing, brand power, and games, sell consoles as well. You fail to factor any of these things into the equasion. Price cuts give sustained bumps, but brand and marketing keep are required to keep that momentum. THAT is why people are hoping the redesign is real. It would help out Sony where they need it, Marketing and Brand power.

D. The 360 DID outsell the PS3, according to the numbers you presented, without America. This is not a positive for the PS3. America is the 360's strongest market.

E. The 360 is not struggling to outsell the PS3. It managed it without even bothering to add in the 360's strongest market.

F. The 360 has been out 1 year longer than the PS3. It is at a different phase in its lifecycle. An older phase. It has 8 million more units on the market, yet it still manages to outsell the PS3. Look how low you have set the bar for Sony.

Did you think the PS3 would ever sell this BAD again? I bet you thought these days were gone when year 2 started. ==))
