Interesting it's so different I will get to like it.

Point about easer to read is right.

terrible look!

1) The screen is too wide
2) The fonts are too small
3) It maxes out my CPU so it lags bad when scrolling the side bar
4) the color scheme makes it hard to read anything
5) The vertical graphs for the console sales are more difficult to interpret than the old hoizontal ones
6) I like to see all the top stories at once, not alternating

sigh... there should be an option for users that want the classic look

Woah, I hate the new design completely, last one was minimalistic and simple to navigate, now the homepage is is full with stuff making it hard on the eyes, also the site is too wide for people using non widescreen monitors...

I'd say get the white background back and make the homepage less full of stuff...
