I looked at this myself, it appears he is right, the code for the page does say that.

Maybe... or just plain marketing to get as many people as possible to access the site. After all the people doing the flash seem to know what they are doing.

On another note, we could be looking at a counter within a counter. This means the 5 is just another counter and after it expires we may get a 4 and another subcounter all the way to E3. Doesn't seem smart but who knows.

The media embedded on the teaser page where the clouds are rolling, Shockwave Flash, uses an Application called Kumori.

Kumori is Japanese for "Cloudy".
It's also the name of a 15th century ninja named Kumori Iga.

There is a loader swf for each key.

The programmer was smart enough to use a external source for the current time instead of using the viewer system time. (http://www.konami.jp/cgi-bin/server_time.cgi)

Maybe the loader for the next key will change the weather in the frame.swf

Someone else managed to shave some hours off the timer.

However, if the aforementioned is correct, the timer is dependant on the server time and might not be affected by this 'trick'.

Why are so many people pissed off? its not like this is Metal Gear Forever, tho im a MGS fan , i wouldn't care less if its MGS5 , it will take ages to finish the game , i want ZOE
