Forums - Website Topics - Who here thinks that CGI-Quality would make an awesome Mod?

CGI is what could be described as an ardent fan, or a mature fanboy.

He makes large attempts to control any anti-Microsoft tendencies in his opinions, and too tone down pro-Sony thoughts into the realm of actual possibility. I actually find this to be refreshing and genuine, so he shouldn't take this as an insult at all.

That said, the occasional moments when he oversteps the bounds of those self-imposed structures are largely inconsequential as an ordinary poster. But as a mod, such moments could be quite destructive.

So while I hope CGI will continue to be the entertaining and constructive poster he has become, no, he should not be a mod.

This is the reason why CGI shouldn't be a mod, too fan/biased to Sony to be a "respected" mod. All his decisions would be scrutinized, trying to find traces of fanboyism, and could bring problems. He is, as this thread shows, a very respected poster, bringing maturity and well thought reasonings to the "Sony movement", but as a mod I think it wouldn't work.

Yes I want CGI as a moderator!

Well some people might argue Twestern was exactly the same , he frequently posts contraversial PS3 content . I don't think CGI is like that but even if he was we need an opposite force for some balance.

I say NO...

He doesn't recognize me as the #1 Sega fan on this site... ¬_¬

Ohh yeah, If I remember correctly, didn't CGI used to have a big fat picture of all the Playstations on his sig?... and it said 360 and Wii fans can die and go to hell? ~_n

TRUE #1 SEGA FAN. (I mean this in the nicest way possible.. for both of you)

Percentage out of 100 that i like sony...... -100%

Why do i dislike sony? Google search "playstation prototype" and discover how sony sneakily tried to shaft Nintendo with their dodgy contract that would have given sony naming rights for the Famicom-Playstation project despite the fact that it is Nintendo who are the gaming GIANT and it was Nintendo who HIRED sony for that project, thats just typical of sony, always trying to get maximum credit for putting minimal effort in.     sony....... you DISGUST ME.......!!!!!!!!       Sega's 1st party games>>>>>>>> sony's 1st & 2nd party games

An angry Sega fan shouldn't make you the #1 fan.

yeah hes just a hater. That doesn't make him a good fan lol. Sega ruined their own shit. Just be happy they're still making games for your consoles :p

While sega did ruin their own shit, you have to give them credit that they basically designed every arcade game still in use today, especially in bowling alleys

Seriously, anybody notice that arcades feel very 90's even still?

We don't really have arcades. Only one at the sublevel of a cinema that i know of. And all it's games are +10 years old.

as well.

I think thats enough!

He would be a great mod, but I'm hesitant to sign this petition.

Naznatips said that the MOST important quality for a VGC mod is that they must have contributed to the site a LOT.

So, CGI, either

a) Work on your reviewing and apply to the team, or
b) Start working in the DB

But I think it's perfectly human to be biased, by nature we're inclined to bias. That's why we utilize Simple Random Samples and use Double Blind Tests, because we're afraid that we can still sub consciously act on our bias.

That is why the human mind, and rationality is brilliant. We can control our impulses to some extent, and the ones who can control them better are better suited, IMHO to lead. The founding fathers were afraid of direct democracy, because they thought that their fellow colonists were too impuslive, acting on emotion, and can easily be causing some revolution for every little thing.

CGI is favored toward the PS3, just as I'm sure you favor the 360, I favor the PS3, just like everyone prefers one console over another, even if they don't admit it. We need people who can look beyond their impuslive and instinctive biases, that everyone has, think calmly, and act rationally. That's what a mod is. They don't ban based on their preferences and bias, but on objective rules (don't do heavy cursing, no obvious trolling, etc). There shouldn't be a mentality of balancing mods with biased members of each console. That's absolutely backwards and will only cause mods banning and perhaps unbanning members for irrational reasons.

We need someone like CGI, someone with his calmness and control.
