well thats £120 in games and an extra controller worth £30. Its a very good deal,its just shelling out 425 notes in one go is to much. Why cant they just sell the console and a controller for £300. Then I will buy one.

I agree that a price drop would do much better than a started pack like this. Maybe do both? Drop 100 pounds of the price of the ps3 standalone unit, and still introduce that same started pack that would save people 160 pounds. They'd probably sell more consoles overall, and less started packs. Overall they'd end up ahead, because people would inevitably buy those (or other) games at full price.
