Forums - Microsoft - MS E3 Predictions

I agree with pretty much everything apart from the last point. I don't know about the casual stuff... I just don't really care so I haven't been looking into the motion stuff

i think they will two newly acquired studios+ a third studio that only does stuff.

^ this

I think something big will be announced with EPIC as well. EPIC has become a big player in this HD console war, and with Cliffys affection for the 360, could be well aimed for the 360

EPIC, Bungie, RARE, LIONHEAD studios will be showing new games.

Third Party Gameplay of Lost Planet 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, and Modern Warfare 2 will be shown.

APB will be shown for the first time.

From Microsoft we already know about Halo ODST and Alan Wake but Forza 3 and Crackdown 2 will be revealed as well.

Of course the Fluid motion controller along with games will be shown. The big one of course is the new Vancouver studio game from the studio that Microsoft recently purchased.

I expect the ZUNE HD will be shown as well with the ability to play xbox live arcade games and with the ability to crossed-platform.

And lastly, I think the Megaton that will end the show will be game from Konami (possibly the next Metal Gear as multiplatform).

If MGS4 goes to 360, that ends the "This game can't be done on Xbox" comments.

Oh, and here's a few predictions, some more likely than others:

- Gears 3 announced for 2010

- MS buys EA, all EA now 360-exclusive.  Spins off a Nintendo-specific dev studio.

- Peter Molyneaux declares whatever game he is working on to be the game that revolutionizes gaming.  Then, he announces a delay.

- MS signs David Jaffe to be their PR head.  Can you imagine the quotes we'd get?

- MS buys Square Enix, Releases FF13 multiplatform, and FF13 Versus as PS3 exclusive.  Both PS3 versions of a game boot to the opening credits, and then immediately enter a rickroll loop.

Credit, where it is due, i will pay that, i actually laughed out loud.

My predictions... more hopes, that they will announce for, before the end of the year very high critic praising games so i can win my bet with kantor, but real predictions.

- Ms to actually announce a purchase of a company, don't know which one, but i think it is going to be a big one.

- Ms to follow in wii's shadow and announce some sort of motion control thing.

- Ms to announce a PLAYABLE handheld, and to revolutionise home gaming, it to be used in junction with 360/720, Better then psps effort, (the backwards mirror, please). I think it will be something like an advanced dreamcast controller.

- Sega officially jumping on 360's boat, Sega's new console actually being an improvement to current 360.

How are they?

Oh i have more

-Mass Effect announced EXCL finally

-Lost Planet 2, excl

-MGS4 stay excl with ps3, but 360 getting something that may compete from Kojima, you cannot keep a company like ms offside for long.

One more thing

-Exclusive sports game

Yay, you mentioned me!

@bolded: Would you believe that's my second bet?

I'm 95% sure MGS4 will not be announced for the 360 at E3.

MS is working on a war-game right now. You heard it here first.

Major Nelson said this like 4 weeks ago on his blogcast. He talked that a general from the US Army was at the Microsoft Game Studios to check a game and probably give some advices to make it more realistic. Then Major Nelson said he was asked why he is "major" and not wearing an uniform. He answered he would never do this, because of the respect he has for the soldiers etc.

Then he changed the topic pretty fast.

I don't know if they are showing this @ E3 though, but they are definately working on it. So if this turns out to be true, you are not allowed to doubt me ever again.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
