i miss itagaki :(

thier is no team ninja at tecmo anymore, this "so called : team ninja" at tecmo is a wana be team ninja, and nothing more. they havent proved they can make a very good - great game at team ninja without "itagaki" and his team, and i firmly believe in that. and same with any future "doa" games they will be a piece of shit, without him as well. and they could very easly put the new content in the ps3 version of ninja gaiden 2 into a dlc or update for the 360 version, but they are being anti - 360 and lazy since they merged with koei. and all the ps3 only games are proof that what i said is true.

Team Ninja's new lead wants to explore new IPs

If we said Team Ninja's path since Ninja Gaiden 2 has been increasingly onerous, the industry would toss us the coveted Understatement of the Year award. Speaking with Gamasutra, new Team Ninja lead, Yosuke Hayashi, said the pressure is on for his team to prove themselves following the exit of long-time leader, Tomonobu Itagaki.

Hayashi realizes Team Ninja is "most well-known" for the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises and knows fans have certain "expectations" but the team would like to move onto new properties. The new Team Ninja lead says it's one of Team Ninja's "goals and missions" in a post-Itagaki regime -- which begins with the release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, a move we know Itagaki would not approve of. According to the article, Team Ninja is already in the process of developing a new IP.

During a quick word exchange with Joystiq at GDC, Hayashi delicately sidestepped questions regarding the former Team Ninja boss. Yeah! He totally was gracious and respectful toward someone who talked mess about his previous work. This guy is nothing like Tomonobu!

...DOA games are a piece of shit with or without him.

I can see why many of you are skeptical of the post-Itagaki Team Ninja, but the least some of you could do is give the guy one chance to prove that he's up to the task. Writing him off beforehand makes me suspect that some sort of bias is involved.

But we are giving him a chance. We said we're skeptical. Not that we're gonna disregard it right away.

I don't think Ninja Gaiden 2 was the hit MS was hoping for. It received a ton of marketing and is still under a million according to VGChartz. With that said I don't think they were jumping on the rights for this game.

NINJA GAIDEN 2 WAS HARDER THAN LIBERATING ANCHORAGE! HOPEFULLY 3 WILL FIND A BALANCE.

I'll keep an eye on this when we start seeing proper info about it, but without Itagaki I'm going to remain skeptical.

why skeptical?

Because Itagaki was pretty much the driving force with the earlier ones.

The only thing Itagaki was driving was the Sony hate train.
