Yep! And yeah i got an HDMI cable with it, my dad had to pay 40 bux though. >_> I thought you could'bt use an HDTV without HDMI anyway? >_> Btw... I still have a PS2 slim and was wonder'in if it'd would do harm to my HDTV since its SD... >_>

Plenty of HDTVs were sold before HDMI came into existance. Heck, something like 10+ million 360s were sold before they added HDMI. Component cables are the "standard" connection - and some use VGA. My TV (1080i, circa 2003) has component and DVI inputs (as well as SD inputs).

lol! but really, can PS2's or any last gen system for that matter be used with HDTV's or no?

Most HDTVs also have SD inputs - some combination of RF, Composite, and/or S-Video. Mine has all three.

Mine has HDMI, RF, Scart, Composite, S-Video, PC/something etc but only use HDMI and Scart lol
I used to play Nintendo on a 13 inch (if it was even that big) black and white TV. The first game I played in color was Super Mario Bros. 3. Mom wouldn't let me hook my Nes up to the living room TV "because it would damage it." From black and white Nes to HDTV 360/PS3: We've come a long way, baby!

2,500 days
7 years
If you have your tv turned on only for 12 hours a day thats 14 years lifetime. I don't think you have your tv on 24/7
It all depends on how much you use it.. thats why its measured in hours

Ohh, that's pretty good then!
Don't LCD's start dimming down long before though? or is that just plasma?

Ok average Tv use is 4-5 hours a day, that equals out to be 16-18 years. Your tv will be ancient technology by the time it dies
