but really, can PS2's or any last gen system for that matter be used with HDTV's or no?

 

Most HDTVs also have SD inputs - some combination of RF, Composite, and/or S-Video.  Mine has all three.

 

Mine has HDMI, RF, Scart, Composite, S-Video, PC/something etc but only use HDMI and Scart lol
