wow... those PS3 fans sure love their shooters this gen....

@Staude... Most balanced people wont agree with you....

In my opinion,

KZ2 Graphics > CoD4 graphics

KZ2 = CoD4.

They're both amazing, in their own way.

Suprising stance... as a fellow PS3 owner and therefor a major shooter fan I would have thought you wanted as many online, offline and mulitplayer features as possible in any shooter game. No?

Multi-player options usually provide much added long term value.

But it also depends on the type of game, if you are able to play the single player campaign as co-op as well, this means the level design (and story) will be different from if the game would have been entirely optimised for a single player experience. Seperate campaigns are possible (like most online multiplayer maps are usually seperate and don't follow a story), but of course requires additional development.

I am more open minded than that. Developers are free to try to wow me with single player games even, like God of War 3. 8-)

If I had a Wii and the single player campaign would be great, I would give a game like The Conduit a chance despite below par graphics and multiplayer functionality (and of course no offline co-op).

PS3 vs 360 sales

@ Selnor

I certainly prefer Killzone 2's single player and online multi-player over what Halo 3 provides overall.

The game wasn't designed for offline co-op, similar to the bulk of PC shooters aren't (before this gen I was a PC gamer). For example Bioshock didn't even support online multi-player, let alone co-op, it was loved by many 360 fans though (Game of the Year 2007 for many).

Offline co-op, if done right can be a value add feature, it's by no means a default requirement for a game. I guess for the 360 offline multiplayer is relatively of more importance, as you have to pay extra each year for online multi-player and there's a lack of virtually lag free dedicated servers.

That was an impressive twist on the whole pay for Live thing. I see what you did there. Your entitled to your opinion, but KZ2 is not in the same sentence as Halo, Half Life and Doom for me. Sorry. It's good, but not spectacular. And the enormous amount of support Bungie give to Halo MP will alwaysmake sure of that.

EDIT: On the lag free thing. All of us that play online with 360, barely get cut off and have great matches. Whenever we have played on the PS3's we have between us, we regularly give up due to massive amounts of disconnections on the same internet provider that we use our 360's on. It's a bit of a joke really. I'm in the UK, no idea what USA is like. But we run 20mb connections in my house and my mates. 360 online has given us way less problems.

PS3-Sense writes: "Earlier today a second teaser of Modern Warfare 2 was released with a few cinematic videos of the game. At first it all seemed nice, but upon a closer look we noticed something. The textures of the snow are nowhere to be found and all the other graphics aren't all that exciting either. It's not just us, the entire NeoGAF forums are filled with posts coming from people saying the exact same thing."

CoD never had good graphics,i hope they actually make the SP non linear and a next gen SP.

@Selnor before i sold my Trey i could never get into a match in R2,nor could i stay on PSN for more than 5 minutes without being disconnected.

LBP still is shocking but from my experience LBP is the exception not the norm.

I leave in the US. Maryland to be more specific and PSN is laggier than XBL on the same connection for me as well. Side note: Ignore MikeB, he is troll and you are wasting your time typing responses to him.

the first one had relatively poor graphics and was a respectable game...so i think this is pointless.

I play resistance 2 multiplayer 60 player death matches that are smooth as butter. It is by far the best online shooter ever. X-Bots will rag on it because it "only" sold a million and a half copies but the game is frickan amazing. So that's the fun factor point.

Graphically though, I'm starting to get a little worried about the possibility that no multiplat game will ever look as good as Killzone 2. Looking forward to the Nextbox so the trey can be the lead platform and nextbox can maybe play them in a higher resolution. Even RE5 looks dated next to KZ2.

I realise for many of you this sounds "crazy". Play the game. I mean really sit down with it, you will be astonished.

Bang goes the theory that this game will be the new graphics king for shooters lol

Still it is going to have good gameplay so as long as the games isnt so ugly it makes my eyes bleed then i am ok with a few horrible textures heres and there.

That been said i am going to be playing it on my pc so i guess i wont see any horrible textures ;) Crank the textures up to max Hell yh

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I'm finding it difficult to care...

Heck if it looks exactly the same as CoD4 I wouldn't give a shit... Once the game's good.
