I don't really care about whether it happens or not, since I own all three consoles and I think a game like Metal Gear Solid 4 would be awesome with achievements. Rather, this thread was made to ask why so many people think that the event of MGS4 coming to the 360 will actually happen. It doesn't seem any more likely to me than it was months ago (in fact, even less so because the hype for the game has died down). The only reason for this annoying resurgence seems to be, of all things, a Twitter post. I don't need any more reasons to hate that site folks.

Ahh well, I'm just curious if anyone has any reason for believing it or announcing it like fact.

A nobody on twitter posted the "MS E3 lineup" and MGS4 on 360 was one of them. I actually believed him until he said he was getting a review copy of "APB" which was absolute bullshit.

So is MGS4 coming to 360? I say

eh I see no real legitimate reason for it coming, in fact I don't think it will happen. The only reasons I can think are is MGS HAS appeared on multiple consoles before, almost all third party games now days are multi-plats, and Konami want more cash but really I don't think it will happen.

It would be nice though I would love to see MGS4 on my gamercard with some new achievements.

Konami has no shortage of money. If memory serves, they're one of the few publishers making profit, and good profit at that. Besides, how much money are they really going to make from this that they couldn't have made from making it a first day multiplatform or delayed release?

No, it's just typical mob mentality. One guy posts the twitter like, "Hey, wouldn't that be cool?" This sparks a discussion, which some idiot does not read. That idiot then goes on to make a thread about it so he can accrue fake money, and 100 other idiots do not properly read that. Half of those idiots start their own thread in order to accrue fake money, and the cycle continues until you have 1000 idiots who have only half-read 1000 different threads, and it goes from "Hey, wouldn't it be neat if this was true?" to "THIS IS TOTALLY TRUE SUCK ON IT SONY FANBOYS!!!!!!!!"

If it does...it will be the most hated game in the world.

360 owners will hate it because they are all mindles FPS crazed ADD ridden gamers. By the time the 10th hour of custscenes kicks in...oh my.

And PS3 owners will hate it because it is something they could hold over 360 owners as the reason that their console is better.
