Forums - Sales - Media Create - Separating sales. Anyone else thing its stupid?

IGN like Im sure many other sites are saying PSP "dominate" DS sales in japan which is a total lie. DSi is no more than a hardware upgrade like 2000/3000 so why the hell are they separating sale?

PSP: 49,557

DSi: 49,133

DS Lite: 7,540

DS clearly beat out PSP in Japan but with people posting stupid numbers like this people go on and post those annoying stories of Nintendo is fucked in Japan.

So what gives?

EDIT - Yea fucking THINK not thinG

Yeah, that is pretty dumb.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Bah dammit!

THINK not thinG >.

I think they just separate them because they have the data and people who want to see how the different DS versions are selling could use it. Anyone with a calculator can tell that DS beat PSP so I don't really see how it's an issue.

Yea but most people dont. =P

You know who Im talking about. They choose to ignore this and it leads to shitty threads and news stories. Hell like the IGN one.

There will always be people that take data the wrong way though, so I don't think Media Create should change how they do things just so that stupid people will stop being stupid.

So you dont wanna help stupid people?

I think its better that they moniter both DSi and DSlite seperately.

DSi itself is practically a new handheld, not an upgrade.

I think this because of the new DSi exclusive games.

I find that even if you try to help it never works out, so I don't bother with it ^^

No way in hell is this a new system...

Have you ever used a DSi?

Its a neat upgrade and nothing more. A whole new handheld isnt revealed at a little conference and released a few weeks/months later. Nothing about DSi screams total new hardware.
