Forums - Gaming - E3 Speculation: Could this console gen not end the way some people expect?

QFT!!!!
I agree with what you are saying about motion controls. There are some games where they are kinda cool, but if you have long, extended gaming sessions it just gets old. I much rather be able to relax and sit there with a normal controller than to have motion controls. I hope motion controls dont become the norm next gen.
(And no I am not Wii bashing, I own a Wii and enjoy the games I have for it, just not into the motion controls too much)

@JPL78: I think the point is that this is probably worse than Wii's motion controls. There's no hypocrisy in criticizing this, it's a very different system.

Yeah some Wii games exaggerate with the motion controls, but I can play many Wii games for hours without getting tired. It's all about the developer's choices of how and when to implement motion controls.´

More complex games simply wouldn't work with this. Looks good for menu navigation though. I'm pretty sure this would be an expensive peripheral as well.

If they could pull it off well, and design good games for it, I'd be interested.

Have a look at this (probably you've already seen it).

Can you imagine an FPS using this technology? It would be awesome, the 3D sensation would much stronger than what we are used to.
