In all fairness, though, the Wii is still up from last week's position. I feared it would be somewhat lower than the 21K mark up there. Yes, it is still below PS3, but that it at least went up is encouraging.
I find it extremly impressive that the XBOX 360 has outsold the PS2 2 to 1 in Japan for the 2009 YTD totals.

PSP is ace in Japan.
PS3 is also ace in Japan... looks like BHR-3s prediction was correct.
Good news for SONY, unfortunately its doing terrible everywhere else.

SO if media create has the Ps3 marginally ahead of the Wii then famitsu, who have the habit of seeing things the other way round, could have Wii ahead of Ps3. Will be interesting to see who ioi thinks comes on top. Also, good Wii numbers by media create standards.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!
| Soriku said: Since Wii and PS3 are so close this time in MC, Wii > PS3 probably in Famitsu. But I wonder where VGC will have it as. But whatever is higher, it doesn't really matter since the difference is like...1k? Who cares. |
I care. I care a lot. I'm a person and my opinion matters too. The Wii is doing horribly in Japan.

Right now it may be, but if Nintendo can do a good presentation of its new software round, I think the sales will go up again. It definitely feels like it's a struggle between Wii and PS3, though.
