I'm close to finishing MGS Twin Snakes on my Wii.
Also wasn't the first MG game on a MS licensed and Sony built computer? (Also built by Philips, Samsung, Sanyo and many others)

Final Fantasy was on this machine as well way before PS.
I don't consider either franchise Sony exclusives and shows the ignorance of Fanboys when they do.

I would say second base though since I'm watching the Dodgers lose right now.

When he says steal, he means companies using money to steer devs away from their competitors for a certain title or franchise. Sony may have never owned the bulk of the third party, but they sure moneyhatted their way in the hearts of third party devs. A company like Sony needs a company who is its monitary equal or else it will dominate and destroy the industry from the ground up. Microsoft and Sony are in the gaming industry. This is a sign there will be more moneyhatting all around and more gamers on all sides getting screwed and having to fork out more because they wanted to play the "who has the bigger dick game".

Like it did from 1994 to 2006, right?

If Microsoft didn't exist Nintendo would probably be dead by now. They are a distraction...so be thankful.

If Microsoft didn't exist, we would have a two console market, which is a bad thing. This gen would be Sony vs. Nintendo, probably with Nintendo in first.

If Microsoft didn't exist last gen, Nintendo wouldn't have even had the pleasure of having the RE series on their system or any third parties for that matter. Sony eventually would've bought them out, because last gen they were weaker.

So Microsoft "saved" gaming?

Microsoft is also doing now what Sony supposedly was doing the last couple of gens. You say they needed someone with equal money to show up so they can stop them from destroying gaming from the ground up right?

Now Microsoft is going all Sony style on gaming with nobody equal to them. So will they now be the ones to destroy it from the ground up?

Just asking?

Also I doubt Microsoft prevented Nintendo from going under. MS wanted to buy them did they not? Also even with Sony winning the last 2 gens, Nintendo was very profitable.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

@ Euphoria14 )

well, people often forget, that Ninty still had the very profitable and successful handhelds market covered with GBA and DS at the end of the GC era

Yup and even if Wii flopped coming out of the starting gate they still would be in fine shape right now thanks to the DS.

Microsoft no longer has to "steal" games. Third-parties are coming to them to be on the HD system that usually sells the most third-party console games.

On a personal level, I'd like L.A. Noire to be announced as a multiplat game.
