Forums - Gaming - Ever feel so attached to a game that each sold makes you feel successful?

I don't feel successful.. but it pleases me to know that games I enjoy are also bought and (presumably) enjoyed by many other people, which in turn means that we will probably get more similar games in the future.

I don't care how many copies a game sells as long as I enjoyed the game.

I just don't get all the excitement about fallout.... I like the game and will buy the next one but...

So yeah, I agree you should have made it VC and MSG =) especially since you made him buy 2 RPG when he was going for 2 shooter type games :p

to answer the question...games I like usually are Nintendo, so they sale anyways.... but I did see some relish in seing sales of Wii Fit :p I follow the weekly bypass thread for that.

Right now, as I'm a huge fan of Valkyria Chronicles and Fallout 3, whenever I see the game sell even one copy in my local game store or on this site, I can't help but feel proud for some reason.

I don't know why, but I seem to end up advising the guys buying games in the store I frequent whenever I happen to pass by to buy these two games. Yesterday, there was this guy who was buying his new PS3 that came with two free games, and I successfully coerced him to take VC and FO3 (He was going to take MGS4 and Wanted), and I felt great for doing so.

So has this phenomenon ever happened to you?

You are a horrible person.

Only MGS3 makes me feel that way. Everytime someone finishes that game for the first time, I get a huge stiffy!

i am just happy to see quality sell. Fable II is one of those games. Everybody should give it a try. It is a good thing to see this go to 3 million and beyond.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

With that miniskirt you are wearing? You better have Kiff nearby with a towel.

On topic: god no. I do like to see games I enjoy sell well tho, because in this business it means the sequel will get greenlighted.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I spent quite a lot of time trying to make people buy Valkyria Chronicles :) And I feel happy whenever I see VC high in sales statistics on japanise charts.

Errr... never felt as strongly as you do. I do try and get as many people as possible to experience games that I count as sheer brilliance.

Mainly Deus Ex... If you haven't played it... go out and buy it, play it, borrow it etc. It'll work on any PC and is a unique genre meld of FPS & RPG. That, MGS 1 & 3 and Half-Life 2 I try and get people to buy.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

I just wish it would have sold more in Japan/NA- though it's still selling in NA.

I'm excited for the Others release.
