Forums - Sony - FF13 NA Demo = NO, due Xbox version, releasing in Europe before winter 2010

Onyxmeth, stop wasting your time. I've gone back and forth with these Sony fanboys on this subject several times. They are incapable of understanding logic and blame MS no matter what. I've been saying for months that its 6 months on average for FF games to hit the US and about 11 months for them to hit Europe. Kitase confirms this and do they eat crow nope, they still find more BS reasons to blame MS. As you so deftly stated, the demo is in Japanese and would require localization.

To you also, what part of KITSASE'S OWN WORDS don't you understand:

"Because we are going to carry on the project along the 360 version, so we really can't make it available only for the PS3"

That has nothing to do with eating crow, that has nothing to do with "not understanding logic". He said it right there. In a nutshell "An American PS3 demo will not come with FFVII:ACC because the 360 version isn't even close to done, so we want to be fair. Although the PS3 version has already been done, and all we need is an hour of voiceover (which by the same interview, they're doing localization at the same time as developing the Japanese version), we aren't going to release it stateside, because again, the 360 version isn't done"

They released TLR when the PS3 version wasn't done......why won't they give us a demo and then later on, the full game BEFORE 360 owners (because it'll certainly be done before then)? Answer: Blame M$

I blame square more than MS for ACCEPTING the money/deal. What can't be argued is that there is a very good chance the 360 port is delaying a possible demo. He said it plain as day in the quote. But I dont really see it being MS fault that they tried to make a good business decision...I'm not HAPPY about it, but it happens.

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

I hate MS for this.

Its not M$ fault Square enix dosnt make a demo why are you blaming them? Besides its just a demo.

the demo is ready, FOR THE PS3, but they are delaying it until they get 360 version done , and they just started doing that... =(.

@cactus

well they said 6 months after japanese releases...and they are trying to cut that, so Q1-Q2 2010 america, Q3-Q4 europe.-

and yes the demo its 5gb!

A 5 GB demo? Thats bullshit. No Demo should be that large and after Sony's recent conference on Gamespot.com, Gamespot employees played the Japanese demo. Trust me....they can pump out a demo....SE are just bullshitting.

Blame SE....i've already seen the demo...but in Japanese. The demo is already done, they just haven't converted the game completely to English. By the way, how is Sony delivering tomorrow, today?

Why ps3 owners love to pay for demos?

But war... war never changes

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

MS gets the blame for having it on the 360! If they didnt want it id have the demo by years end! (maybe )

And because imo the PS3 is way more advanced than anything else on the market.

"But we hear that the demo version normally means something that you can download in the West, so that is a possibility we would like to check."

This statement shows how ignorant SE has been this generation. They are completely out of whack.

I understand his words perfectly. He says they've begun some of the text localization process already. They've started to record English voices. What about his words don't you understand. I also like how you conveniently skipped over the part about the localization time for Final Fantasy titles. Sony fanboys have essentially been saying that FFXIII would have singular worldwide release date if it were PS3 only for months, despite available evidence to the contrary. Sony fanboys also would have us believe that Japanese companies release untranslated demos to the rest of the world all time. Neither of which is true, which is the reason I told Onyxmeth he was wasting his time dealing with you and the rest of your ilk.

@SlumsofOhio

You would think that's Square Enix's fault, but I'm sure on of our resident Sony fanboys will somehow blame Kitase's ignorance of downloadable demo's on Microsoft as well.
