Winter 2010..... that means Nov-Dec 2010? wow if that's true... F this game.

Edit: Hmm so it will be released in the NA spring 2010? guess I'll import it then.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

It's a shame that almost certain buy for me and I'll have to wait so long for it.

How the days of 7-11 have gone, one after the other, nearly year after year, then what? XII took 5 years, I only got the bloody thing in March 2007 1 month before the releaseof the PS3 in this country. Now I have the PS3, I'm having to wait anoth 18months for FFXIII.

What a joke. Shouldn't SquEnix be having more then on FF on the go at any one time?

Hmm, pie.

Dont care for this stupid "MS payed them!!!11" debate.

But it's interesting that they have supposedly already started english localisation. Still, it seems like EU version wont release alongside NA, and overall the game will take as long to come to the West as did XII.

Although if it's 2010 then it's fine I guess.

Well then at least EU x360 players have to wait longer for game than ps3 ones :D

PROUD MEMBER OF THE PSP RPG FAN CLUB

Onyxmeth, stop wasting your time. I've gone back and forth with these Sony fanboys on this subject several times. They are incapable of understanding logic and blame MS no matter what. I've been saying for months that its 6 months on average for FF games to hit the US and about 11 months for them to hit Europe. Kitase confirms this and do they eat crow nope, they still find more BS reasons to blame MS. As you so deftly stated, the demo is in Japanese and would require localization.

How long is this game? About 5 years in development if this game is like only 15 hours that would suck.

lol, omg. 15 hours? 15 hours is like getting through the opening scene.. :D

this thread is funny with fanboys fighting both sides. its a good thing i never got into ff games and most turn based rpgs.

its not rocket science but i suppose you children need some help.

its sonys fault because:

they didnt want to pay to keep ff exclusive ora timed exclusive.

they made a super expensive console which is in last place. doesnt therefor appeal to devs as much as the ps2 did.

its ms's fault because:

they paid to bring it to the 360 after the game was being built specifically for the ps3 as lead platform knowing that porting would cause delays as well as storage issue problems that may arise delaying it further.

for not allowing se to ship a finished ps3 demo as it would give ps3 demo timed exclusitivity making a 360 port pointless since the idea is to be on par for the payment made not behind.

se's fault because:

knowing 360 hasnt got a big rpg base but giving into the benjamins

for not working on demos simultaneously when they should have.

to summarise: sony- skint, stingy, ms- rich, power greedy, se- greedy.
the collaboration of the big3 is to blame. all are guilty and if you truely love ff, you should boycott it for se being the greedy ***** they are and causing you distress and grief.

Not a big surprise, the demo was released in Japan because is exclusive there but releasing it in NA or EU without the 360 version would be giving a preference to the PS3.

Marvel vs Capcom 2

We are talking about SE, not Capcom.

But if you think about it, that does NOT make sense, SO4 being exclusive and The Last Remnant being timed exclusive to the X360 makes sense because MS probably paid for those (between many other PS3 fans rants), but why make the demo of Marvel vs Capcom 2 exclusive of the PS3? Unless Sony paid for it (which i doubt), i don't see what Capcom wins with this.

Nobody wins with that demo. It's local multiplayer match only. You can't even play a quick match against the computer. They give you the options to click on online multiplayer only for it to show you a screen to cocktease you. They couldn't even bother to shade it out so you couldn't select it. There'll be a real demo come release day.

Wow, i didn't even know that. I'll just pretend that he didn't give it as example, unless he's so proud of it that he desn't mind.

I was using it as an example.....

You were talking about how releasing a demo, PS3 only, would show preference to the PS3, yet it just happened with MvC2

Right. FF is third party. Sony doesn't have control over them. Neither does MS. You blaming an uninvolved party like Microsoft is a bit rediculous. I can easily throw blame in a thousand directions, but when it comes down to it, it comes down to being Square's problem, and Square's fault. If Square had started 360 development earlier, they would have had a build to make the demo from wouldn't they? If they had started to localize the game earlier, they'ed have the translation done for the demo already wouldn't they? Ultimately, it was Square's decision to release or not release the demo. They chose not to. Whatever their reasonings are don't really matter. The bottom line is they could have released it, and they chose not to.

Are you the type of person that regularly blames other people for problems they aren't responsible for? If I have a school assignment to do and I procrastinate all week, under the assumption I'll do it last minute, and then someone I know gets hospitalized causing me to not get my work done on time, who's fault is that? Is it the hospitalized person or is it me the procrastinator? There were many instances where Square could have taken a different course of action. However it was their action to take, not Microsoft's. When you show me the gun held to Wada's head, I'll concede and say it was all Microsoft's fault.

sadly i can't proof that, yet, but this time around kitasate said themself it not being unfair to 360 owners. true square choice, but thing that would have never happen if 360 version didn't exist, like it should.

How do you do it? You admit it being Square's choice and then go back to blaming Microsoft. How can it be Microsoft's fault if Square has a choice? I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall here.

because 360 version its holding it up, square didn't had to make that choice if the port didnt' exist, which likely comes with NDA Deal with microsoft.

reason why it can't be released in NA before in the ps3 even if the ps3 version it's finish first.

and trust me i would be blaming sony if they were the ones holding up the american release.

just happens its microsoft known for their shoddy practices.

Why don't you blame Sony then, they are the ones that decided to make a expensive and difficult to develop console, and they didn't offer anything to stop FFXIII becoming multiplatform, remember what Sony did with FFVII? They offered Square  a better deal, this time the tables are turn and MS is the one that offered better a deal. If you are gonna "blame" and "hate" like that you better stop being in love with Sony.

By.....having a disc based medium, so they could realize the game they wanted instead of having it be held back by a cartridge?

@BMaker11

Demo's for XBLA games only get released when the full game is released, never before. The demo is only released before the game when it's for a full game. It's not a case of PS3 preference at all.
