hmmm i guess they got tired of the 35 billion   25.65 (could not find source for 35 billion) and no debt, but an interesting way to get into the gaming market.... too bad they didnt buy nintendo before the wii came out ... jobs even flew over there ..... though this buy could single handedly crush the 360 and ps3 with the removal of many known and trusted 3rd party series though i doubt apple would do that

This might hurt the next generation microsoft and sony (sony not as much), but EA sports franchise is a really popular franchise (as much as people hate it)... same with Bioware... hell this might hurt PC gaming, unless apple allows Bioware to make Microsoft OS based PC games.

I hope Apple buys them, takes the best talent and disolves the EA brand (like EA did to Westwood, f***ers). Won't happen but I dream, oh, I dream...

if apple owned ea they could cockblock any football game from coming out on a MS system for the next 5 years.

they way things are going in the courts for EA/madden/NFL/NFLPA  they may lose exclusivity by next season.... oh well it will be a strike season anyway, that could make for a good game million dollar babies
