Forums - Microsoft - Something Sacred this way comes?

I have been trying to decide between Sacred 2, PunchOut, and InFamous this month. There hasn't been a "Diablo"-like game out yet on the gen of consoles (besides the superhero ones), and I love the hack'n'slash RPG's, so that's what has me thinking about getting it. However, if its getting terrible reviews, then I'll probably pass.

I don't know what gebx is talking about since its coming to both the 360 and PS3....

Sacred was great, I still play it on my laptop. I've been drooling over the 360 version of Sacred 2 for months now, especially since my computer can't handle the PC version.

If you honestly think about it we don't have ANY good dungeon crawlers on the 360 except for Ultimate Alliance and it's SO light on the RPG elements it just leaves me craving the real thing. Obviously we aren't getting Diablo on the 360 so this will serve me fine.

Plus IGN may have given it a 6 but X-play gave it a 4 out of 5 and they are picky. edit: apparently that 4 out of 5 was for the PC version even though gamestats listed it as an Xbox review.

Either way, I love this type of game and I can look past bugs (KOTOR anyone?) I think there will be a lot to like here. Day one purchase :)

It looks like the IGN review was kind of....Strange.

The PC version had a 72%, and the reviewer cites it as 'proof' of S2 on 360 needing a low score, but he says the 360 version is better than the PC, AFAIK. WTF?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Shittier games getting good scores on the consoles? I thought that wass widespread knowledge by now.

BTW, the game is also coming out on the PS3. There's no review yet how PS3 version will run but dev have claim that PS3 SPU make the PS3 version easy to port to so we will see.

There are comments on publisher website responding to IGN review saying that the reviewer used debug copy to review the game and that the final boxed version doesn't have the same problem of game crashing and save game earasing problem.

I guess we will see how that fare out next week when the game come out.

I was looking forward to it, then got it for PC, it was super buggy. Patches made it better, but the game turns into a hack and slash for loot fest wayyyyy to early. Story was pretty much nonexistant, and I gave up reading the quest descriptions soon into the game. All you have to do is talk to the question marks, walk to the waypoint, and then go back to the now exclamation marked person. Try it if you like diablo esque games, but in my opinion, the now many years old Diablo II is better in everyway.

i thought it was multiplatform

but is it like too human, i may pick it up when the price drops

You'll see when this game only gets 80's on metacritic!! you'll see!!!"

isnt this game coming on PS3 and Linux? , its not made by Microsoft.

The game was console exclusive to the 360 at one point, and then during the delays a PS3 version manifested. I doubt that a PS3 version was ever off the table. Just that the architecture, and the development cycle meant that the 360 was going to be a default test bed for the game. Though once the delays started it became feasible to develop the PS3 version in tandem.

You cannot really blame GebX too much this game slipped right off the radar. In fact most probably just wrote the game off as vaporware. I do not think anyone even mentioned of these forums that it had gone multiplatform.

I dunno...I've been following it for awhile for the PS3. I didn't even know that at one point it was a 360 exclusive...
