There were other AAA titles before MGS4, but one thing which boosted MGS4 sales was the publicity campaign: Kojima's team spent a lot of time crafting some of the most amazing trailers ever created for videogames, and then releasing those trailers at no extra charge into the wilds of the web. This kept old fans excited, and got the attention of potential new fans.

Wii Sports and Wii Fit are AAA titles, and have sold more systems than any MGS4, Halo, Call of Duty, etc.

No I just go by my own definition that AAA=90+, Uncharted=88, therefore Uncharted=/=AAA.  As for your 2nd comment, no idea how that's relevant to my previous post so....not gonna bother.

That a game does not have to be 90+ on metacritic to be a AAA title.

*claps* very good, I see you're getting the hang of this.  Heck Uncharted recieved a 8.7 by vgchartz but since I've been on here, their scores don't seem to be "law" per se so you can always just go to what the overall ratings are from most (if not all) gaming sites and mags to see what category they fall under.

Well yeah I can most certainly agree with that.  I'm only trying to be technical considering Uncharted's average critic score is AA and PS3's first AAA exclusive was MGSIV.  I wouldn't want to argue over your opinion of the game because there's some games I find to be AAA that critically aren't as well.

And I'm asking you, who died and decided that 90+ = AAA?

Only 100k? Those bundles were selling for like 5-6 months.

Don't give me that bull. The limited edition bundle sold almost in about a month.

MGS is guaranteed to sell 4 million regardless of console.

Yea I thought so at first as well but since this site hasn't established an "official" way to regard scores on here, you can still call it however you want (but with many arguements).  I've always heard on sites that 7-7.9=A, 8-8.9=AA, and 9+=AAA (some will say 10=AAAA but I don't regard that since it's kind-of dumb).

Fair enough, but I am against the only usage of the term. Sorry if it seems to be angry or whatever.
