I'm wondering what the other consoles show for their tv attachments...

Microsoft and Sony cannot fathom brainstorm something interesting for gaming consoles. Just up the graphics baby! Nintendo has always been the only one pushing the way we see and use consoles whether it fails or wins.

i disagree, and im too lazy to you why.

Save Us PS4!

According to some people, you'll be waiting for a very very very very long time.

That's okay. It just means us True Faithful will be the only ones still worthy by the time of the Rapture. Really, I'm happy that the casual filth is about to get weeded out by the Wii. It makes it easier to know who's a Real Gamer.

Your opinion couldn't be any more wrong. The Wii isn't weeding out casual filth, it's for the casuals and gamers alike. If it was left up to Sony or Microsoft, we would have no new casual gamers. Mark my words, only a small percentage of those gamers will upgrade to Sony or Microsoft systems. The majority of them are serious non-gamers who just like party gaming and playing with the family.

Exactly. The Wii is like honey, and the Filthy Casuals are the flies. It will draw them, but not Us, and thus when Salvation arrives there will be nowhere for those disgusting cockroaches to hide.

Aaaaah...non-gamers leaving Our Hobby forever...such a wonderful thought.

Personally,

1) I think that most consoles are on the largest television in the house.
2) I think most parents want a console to be in the livingroom rather than the bedroom.
3) I think that because of the BR capabilities of the PS3, it has a good chance of being on the best tv in the house.
4) Based on the age demographic of the HD systems, I think there is a good chance that the owners are either adults themselves, or in their late teens, which could mean that they live on their own or in a dorm.
5) I think it's also very probable that people owning an HD console might want an HD or large screen tv as well.
6) I don't think anyone would want to play a console game on a small screen when they could play it on a larger screen. This ties is with the game play amount of the average gamer. Only a couple hours a day, only a few days a week: weekends when there is no school and parents aren't using the main tv...

nobody in these posts own a ps3, imagine that.

I think what's even better is that the Sony dood at Europe now says the PS3 will catch up to the Wii in 3-5 years because people will see the light....... my LOL was so huge I almost flipped out of my chair.

For a system ducted taped together and with a gimmick scheme it sure seems to be wiping the floor with the power house from the other side.

They can throw anything they want, the point is that Nintendo took a risk and was rewarded with the crown of the most profitable and ultimate winner of this generation.

It's like the fat kid who runs a 12minute mile trying to pick a fight with the track runner, why even bother? The fat kid goes back home and watches TV on a 65inch HD while the track runner goes and sleeps with the wii chick from the youtube film.

@dahuman

What's even funnier is that this whole statement was prefaced with the words:

"According to our internal research...."

You know Nielson also collects this exact data. Leaving Nielson out is the same thing as saying:
"although nielsen says one thing, we have these numbers you should look at"

Judging by the first words, it is apparent that this statement is spinful. Not that Sony's was any better.
Although Wii is played the least, individually, it doesn't mean it's in the closet. In fact, the sales numbers speak for themselves.
