Forums - Sony - SCEE VidZone Info - Free Music Videos on the PS3, launch date 4th June

Some of you might remember SCEE promising a free music video service for the PlayStation 3 back in 2008. As seems to be SCEEs forté, it was expected this service would never see the light of day, at least not in the PS3 consoles lifetime. 

Well they have finally shed more light on the service.

are the going to be only Old & Sony produced music or something worthwhile too.?

isn't Sony giving too much free stuff this console generation

You say this like its a bad thing?   I imagine that the money from the music has already been made, plus it probably has copy protection. 

More importantly,  maybe this is the door to open up for movies and music in Home!!!!

Isn't this just a music-video streaming service, like Yahoo music? That would mean that revenue would probably be derived from advertising.

this is for Europe only right?

and i remember the site having mistakingly (or not?) saying "Coming soon to Ps3 and Xbox 360" with a Mirror's Edge wallpaper, but now its only Ps3
