That boss pissed me off and was what made me stop playing the game.

I tried to use strategy to be beat him by equiping the right stuff and using the right spells when you're supposed to only just keep pressing attack.  Lame.

That boss was probably the hardest in the game, the levels of your party are mega low compared to it.

Once you get past that, you can experience the best JRPG this gen

Thanks everyone but yeah I read the RPGFan review and that made me a bit skeptical towards the game as it seemed like they ripped this game a new asshole. While places like IGN praised it but criticized the battle system and I'm really craving an Old School JRPG enough to have purchased a new console for one.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Okay well in the next week or so I plan on buying a 360 mainly to play Lost Odyssey and other Mistwalker titles. (Gears 1 and 2 are also part of the decision and future Bioware projects) And I've been reading some reviews to get a feel for the game and I've been getting nothing but mixed messages. Let me inform the general public here that I am a HUGE fan of Traditional Turned Base combat in JRPGs. And that seemed to be a major complaint in the low end reviews that I have read.

However what most concerns me is several things that I would like your opinions on.

Story: How is it? Are the Characters fleshed out and deep? Is the story any good?   Superb story, well paced..

Music: Does it measure up to other JRPGs? how is it compared to FFX?   Great muisc... very high quality

Graphics: Are there any heavy framerate drops like in TLR?   no frame rate drops i have seen, nice graphics... nice style.

Technical Problems: I hear the loading is actually pretty bad is this true? Can this be fixed by installing the game to the HDD using the NXE?    I installed all four discs... loading is there but nothing unbearable.

Thanks

Get it, play it.... love it.

I think I asked this before but I forgot the answer, do you have to install all four discs at once or can you do it individually?

You can install them one at a time.

And there are frame rates drop but nothing too terrible.

Lost Odyssey is fantastic and is my 2nd favorite game this generation.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Jansen is an amazing character. One of the best ever, IMO. <3 <3 <3

LO is worth it for him alone.

Amazing game. Best JRPG since FF9 for me.

The second boss is very tough too (the electric-like thing), because it respawns its "pets" (that attack you and help it to recharge) and then it appears another identical (and it starts attacking you, when it recharges to 100% it takes like 200 health of you) you must be strategical and very intelligent with this boss, the next (the guards), isn't that tough, they don't take too much damage from you and you must kill the captain to make them weaker :D, bus definitively the first and second bosses in this game are the hardest, anyway, it's an awesome JRPG, the best with valkyria chronicles, star ocean the last hope and tales of vesperia; we now wait for final fantasy XIII and final fantasy Versus XIII :D

My console sales prediction for the end of 2009?? [made January 2 2009]
PS3: 30M -- XBox 360: 40M -- Wii: 72M -- PSP: 65M -- NDS: 138M

Best JRPG this gen (possibly even all time IMO) very good graphics and music. Only problem is there us a few to many playable characters

Long Live SHIO!
