So I hear everyone clamoring over God of War 3 coming out this year. Thats cool I guess...except its the 4th freaking GoW game in 5 years. But it seems sony likes to spam their successful franchises.

Ratchet and Clanks come out every year, sometimes twice

Patapon 2 is coming out...and Patapon is hardly a year old.

Jak and Daxter, Resistance, Wipeout, Motostorm, etc

They must have sequelitis or something.

to me i think God of war on ps2 the first one came way too late in the ps2's life span.

I don't quite see where this thread is going, I get the feeling that you think it is a bad thing. Overusing a franchise is PES, Fifa, COD every year and you wanna know why it is done? $$$ and funnily enough the games are still of high quality........bar PES which has fallen fast. :(

Sony also puts out a ton of new IPs to go along with them so who cares?

God of War 3 is also the finale.

When we see a SONY IP come out with it's 120th game 20 years later come ask me this question again.
