Also, Sony won't be worried in the slightest. Halo ODST isn't going to move many consoles at all. Where as GT5, GoW3 and FFXIII (Japan) will move hundreds of thousands worldwide.

May I ask what "selling more" does for you as a gamer?

I find it funny that you are calling a list of 5-6+ titles for this year "desperate hope" but a list containing just 1 isn't. Also I love how somehow you are in a better situation than they are because 6M+ people will have the same game as you and they will only have 1-2M+ people having each of the 5-6 games they have.

Poor poor Sony and it's userbase. 

So no, maybe Sony does not have ONE game to counter ODST with but at the moment Sony has 4-5 other titles that MS currently has no counter for.

I wouldn't call Halo ODST a killer-app....

 Does this count for Halo3 and Halo ODST as welll? If so: Holy &%$!

And why do you guys list several games? Halo ODST is NOT the only game to be released this holiday season on the Xbox360. I was just stating that this game will do sales no PS3 game can think of this year.

There are games like

• Splinter Cell
• Forza
• Alan Wake
• GTA IV DLC #2

that will do great numbers. But I just did not mention them, because we don't know enough about them yet... and I am tired of list wars.

I think it has to do with the fact that those games have already been announced while some actually have set release dates.

Splinter Cell isn't set in stone yet is it?

Forza hasn't even been announced yet has it?

Alan Wake we still know nothing about right?

Are we sure GTA IV DLC #2 is dropping this season? Remember last season?

It is like people saying "What makes you think GT5 and/or GoW3 are coming in 2009?". Same works here. What makes you so certain all 4 of those are dropping this year?

 That is why I said: "But I just did not mention them, because we don't know enough about them yet." But PS3 fans argue like those games are not real or something. They are all in the making plus several others. We just don't have enough info so far.

You don't want to get into list wars because the 360 looses. When the PS3 came out and there were hardly any games for it, 360 fans couldn't stop bringing up all the games out/coming out for the 360.

I know they are all real games, it is just that so many times I hear "GT5 won't release in 2009" and "God of War 3 won't release in 2009" yet everyone swears that games we know much less about will in fact release in 2009 for the 360. 

It is something that just makes no sense. It is like when I see "Wait until E3, MS will surprise." or "SONY has shown it's cards".

I am sure SONY has not shown it's cards, it still has TRICO, the Secret Game and who knows what else... SONY 1st party is HUGE!

They could still end up Falcon Punching our wallets even more this year. Everyone thought we had enough PSP titles from SONY for 2009 and they still have a lot more to show. Could easily be the case with PS3 as well.

Who knows what info we really have for either? 

No game can counter Halo ODST on the PS3.

But if you look at the Wii Front easily you get some games that will ridicoulously outsell Halod ODST by a insane margin:

- Mario Kart Wii
- Wii Fit
- Wii Sports Resort

I don't thing that this xmas hit for the Wii will be that sucessfull at the point to stand aside of those 3...

 That is why I said "PS3 has no game to counter Halo ODST this year". Nobody talked about the Wii here. Why do you guys always bring up the wii when there is obviously nobody talking about it? This is about Halo ODST on the 360 and the possible counters on the PS3. That's it.
