I like how the line dividing them is drawn all shitty.
I'd upgrade the PSU and graphics card if you want to play games. I'd say 500W or above should be good for PSU and I've had good experience with Antec and Termaltake.
Not sure what the best GPU's are at the moment, probably an Nvidia GTX260? I think the current AMD/ATI cards are better mind, but someone else on the boards would probably be able to advise you on that.
Do that and you'd probably be able to run Crysis on High at about 720P res.
Btw, awesome monitor!
I have been building my own custom pc's for ages, so I hope you listen to my well meant advice. Here it goes.
As far as playing games on your pc goes. Yes, it can play browser based flash games and games that were new in the year 2000. Sudden strike is dirt cheap these days, awesome rts game. This pc is only meant for doing homework and little else and you won't be able to join the pc gamers race as some may suggest.
You could ofcourse upgrade your pc with a cheap new videocard as some have suggested. A amd 3870 is dirt cheap these days and will help you play most games at the peak of the rest of your system. Unfortunately nobody suggested that you also need a more power psu for that. Your pc would have worked for a few seconds if you only change your gpu and not your psu.
Nonetheless, you got this pc for free and a small upgrade should make this babe be able to run a lot of new games with more then reasonable performance. You should think about a budget of around 100-125 Euro. Ofcourse you could spend way more on it, but a better graphics card on a slower machine is a waste of money. A new amd 4890 for example will improve your graphics slightly vs a cheaper solution, but is not very cost effective.

If you want a card you can use now, I suggest the HD 4670 (Its the most powerful card which would slot right in) which gives you pretty good performance. Otherwise just wait a couple of months and you should be able to get extremely excellent performance from the HD 4770 line which almost as powerful as the HD 4850 and should slot right in again without upgrading the power supply also.
Tease.
@Gazz, he can join the PC game race if he sticks with Blizzard. They always develop their games for low end pcs and they are still bad ass games. I am sure he could play Diablo 3 and SC 2 with no problem.

Unfortunately his intel graphics card makes his system a no end system instead of a low end system. Especially since his pc comes with Vista. Although Vista is no longer the trainwreck it once was, it takes a heavy toll on his sytem leaving little room gaming wise. His graphic card can best be described as the brick under the gas pedal. Replace it with a nice carpet underneath and go full throthle!
Diablo 3 and starcraft 2 aren't even out yet, so I have no comment on how they may run on his system. I highly doubt any good performance on them since his graphics card gets pushed to the max as it is already. He may not even like those games btw. Anyway, he won't be able to play older games like Battlefield 2 on it (released in 2005).
Edit: If you choose to follow Squilliam's advice to not upgrade your cheap psu, then please make a vid when running your first demanding game on it. Post that on Youtube so the rest of the world can have a good laugh. Otherwise his comment made perfect sense. Since you are from the netherlands, look at this one if you want to upgrade now...http://www.4launch.nl/shop/#p-4-productid-061657
Any PSU with more then 400W will do, although 450 is more future proof
