Forums - Gaming - Konami drop Six Days in Fallujah

Wow... am I actually the only one who is disgusted by this? Where the f*** is media freedom during a time like this?

But as somebody mentioned before this war will also get raped hundreds of times after a couple of decades, and it will probably e at least as popular as today is the Vietnam war or WW2...

While you could also argue why a game not being made about the Holocaust or the My Lai Massacre is unfair, not many people would agree with you. Im sure all those Fallujah and US families would feel the same.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Thank America for political correctness then.

Well Konami obviously doesn't have balls. But I never buy their games anyway so that won't change.

If you feel like that than you should throw away all your games that are intended for a mature audience. Infact trade your console in and get a Wii. Plenty of politically correct games there for you.

Sorry, I only apply that when someone's trying to create crap.

Oh really so by this same reasoning why nobody cares what those German families who lost people in WW II feel when you go and exterminate few thousands wermaht/SS soldiers in one of dozens of ww II shooters ?

I'm sick when i hear that shooting black zombies in RE is racism while anihilation of japanise or white europeans in CoD:Waw is ok with everyone.

Where the hell are all those games about german campaigns in WW II ? Have you seen any big game centered about germans conquering half the europe (anything younger than Panzer General saga.

It's pretty obvious that shooting american soldiers, muslim and black people is taboo in games.

Yeah, because you've played the game...

Not surprising, except for the part where Konami thought it was a good idea to begin with. Then again... Rock Revolution.

This would have probably been a better game than Rock Revolution.
