I don't know if it will be the last one, but if a PS4 exists it will be very different in terms of strategy. Otherwise they're just ensuring failure, between a cash-rich Microsoft and a creative Nintendo with lots of brand power for the foreseeable future.

About $8 billion. How much they're willing to burn I don't know, but probably not much given the circumstances.

I don't believe that there are going to be many more console gens that replace hardware in the future (probably 2-3 more). At some point it will be all about digital downloads, but Microsoft will be leading us to that end. Sony will keep trying to pioneer hard formats, because they can make more profit that way. I don't doubt with the way the Wii is going now that Digital downloads would be too hard to believe. Sony will be forced out of the competition if they cannot control the format style in which the people most desire.

You really think the OP was expecting people to not get riled up over this? Did he really think that the question was realistic, and would start a meaningful discussion, rather than a flame war? This website is one the less fanboyish sites, and threads like these, especially when they're on the front page tarnish VG Chartz and its community.

Well by that standard the majority of threads on vgchartz are troll threads >_>

But he obviously believes what he's saying. I don't agree with him nor do most other people but he's still entitled to his own opinion...no matter how controversial it is.

 

 

 Well when i posted threads which were made by some1 else....n if ms fanboys disagreed with it they would always say that im trolling!!!recently i posted a thread abt the most overrated characters by ign and an ms fanboy said i was trolling coz there were master chief and fenix in that list!

Thats neither here nor there....The point is he's entitled to his own opinion and so were you on that, you can argue with someone you disagree with but don't be callin them a troll just because you don't agree with them.

I admit i've called people that i disagree with trolls, and i realize how wrong that is, after all no one is perfect.

But if you call people trolls for having a different opinion then your an advocat of taking away free speech.  And thats not right.

There wont be a ps4, nor a new Nintendo system… Microsoft will have finally beat out the competition into oblivion and created the “One World Console”. For the first time in years fanboys come together holding hands as gaming peace is brought to the consumers.
