Got pwnd hard in 2-2, lossing 7k souls in the progress. But I get a nice fire protection ring and a dragon blade 1 ! What is the best, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1 ... ? When do you guys think about the soul level needed to beat the Tower knight in 1-2 ?

Almost any soul level is fine on the first playthrough. Its all about the strategy.

Yeehheee ! 

Tower Knight : Down ! Conan the Barbarian would say 'I hate magic', but Soul Arrowis  the 'I win' button for this boss.

I am being butchered in 3-1 however :/

So I'm close to the end game (first play through) but I don't want to beat the False King just yet, as I want to go thorugh each world on PBWT and kill the primeval demons and fight the BPs (I don't know if I will have enough eyes stones for it though). It's great that the drop rate alone kinda makes it worth it, plus the ocasional named BP and the "well" placed strong unnamed BP makes it harder (like the dual katana black skeleton black phantom in 4-2), and moe lucrative (if you don't waste time by diyng repeatedly).

Anyway, the sad thing is that I didn't get the key from Ostrava (he obviously died at one point, no ideea when, but not 1-1 cause I saved him there), so no Demonbrandt for me this time :(.

PS: It kinda sux to play this now, when there is little excitement from the others on this site towards my progress :)

haha...don't rely on others for your enjoyment of the game! But i hear ya. I'm on my 3rd playthru and ran into some serious bad luck where I plagued Ostrava by mistake and now he is nowhere to be found. I also somehow managed to say 'no' to the monumental which i understand ruins my chances to get the friend's ring. So, I stopped playing. Maybe I'll pick it back up later on.

I said no to the monumental casue he was asking me to save the world and such, and "I wasn't sure" :P. Well, there's alwasy NG , which I hear is suitably more difficult.

Yea it's 40% harder or something like that. I'm dying to plat this game and I'm only making it more difficult for myself with these lame mistakes.

Cool to see people are still playing. I picked it up last year and really liked it but didn't have time or motivation to go at it seriously.

So I restarted playing yesterday and finished 1-1 and 2-1. I'm at the boss in 3-1 and the witch killed me :( Will try again a little later.

I can't wait till PSN comes back on to see what the online is like. Is there still a community out there?
