in japan i say Dragon Quest, have you been in japan before ? you pretty much see slimes everytime you go outside, its more popular than Final Fantasy there.

Nintendo, period. Mario and Pokemon in particular. In America, I'd add GTA to the list. GTA is pretty much a cultural phenomenon, at this point.

I always pictured Halo as being a way bigger franchise culturally in America than GTA...
