i saw this from before, but to be honest "Reals" sounds alot like "Sims"
since "Sims" means Real life human Simulators , and Reals are well .... Real life human Simulators.

if they explained alot it will be boring for the casual market, and then they ignore it.

it would be like explaining a technical demo to a 10 year old.

The XBOX360 always had clever advertisments. In the other hand, their OS division....

I didn't like it. It was a too slow paced commercial and meaningless.

Plus honestly, theres not very much to say about customizing avatars since the options are so limited.

Actually I hated that promo, the live actor parts were disgusting. I hate that kind of humour.

I've got mixed feelings. The whole thing was funny because of the anthropologist-with-an-accent thing that worked really well and reminded me of LittleBigPlanet's ads, but I thought it moved too slow and introduced the features in a way that a lot of people might not even understand. Sure, I can anticipate everything they're talking about and know pretty much how everything they showed works, but I spend way too much time on the internet looking at this stuff -- someone who doesn't own a 360 would be really confused, I think, and not necessarily get that they're talking about subtle improvements or important new features.

Definitely a successfully quirky and funny ad though, and that was probably the main thing they were going for (and the main thing that matters nowadays when it comes to successful advertising).
