check my 09 predictions for my #s made b4 09 started

BHR, the only reason why I made the 360 high was because I didnt want to get flammed by 360 fanboys. :D

realistically the X360 won't end the year lower than 38 million, as that is a decline from the previous years total even though so far it is showing a Q1 with a 50% increase over last year.

So predicting it to get about 40 million is pessimistic if you look at how things are going so far.

In fact I just checked your 2009 thing BHR-3.... and they are all on the very limits of what I deem possible, PS3 being on the high end, Wii and X360 at the low end.

Yeah thats me pushing it to the limits

 

i made thoose in Dec of 08 if i made them now i would do a tad higher for the 360

There are only 2 titles with enough power to make a difference anymore, Final Fantasy in Japan, and Gran Turismo 5 everywhere.

Final Fantasy and GT5 are big enough to help increase PS3 sales this year over last year in Japan.... which is why I have PS3 selling 1.3 million rather than the 900k-ish it would have done without them.

For the rest of the world, short term sales are less influenced by games, but GT5 is still huge enough to make a decent difference.... but something like God of War is not.

@BHR-3. Haha... nice one, I am often listening to that song on GTA Vice City, or was it GTAIII... one of them anyhow.

if the ps3 doesnt get a price cut this year then it wil certainly stay behind the wii and 360. if it gets a big one than it will certainly zoom past the 360 but probably fall short of the wii still.

i think Uncharted2 and the New Ratchet will do some damage theres a high possibility of a ps3 price cut this fall as well did u see my thread on my analysis of ps3 sales for this holiday season? I think my thoughts in that thread will come back to haunt most on this site thinking im just a joker wen comes to analyzing sales
