warranty dude warranty.

sony offers 1 of warranty for all ps3. while the news ones are more reliable its nice to have. especially those new 45nm that should appear soon.

Blue Ray is really nice. I don't care about the game capacity so much as how good the movies look. I had an HD-DVD add on but because of my hookup it was running 720p. After seeing a movie in 1080p I'm completely sold. I just hate Blu Rays are so expensive.

I would be getting it for the first party stuff. I'm still an achievement whore so I would be getting most games that are on both systems on my 360. That said I'm interested in Rachet and Clank, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Warhawk and that dungeon crawler that was a launch game. I forget the name, I think it's Untold Legend or something, I had it on PSP at one time. Oh and DC online FTW! Since Microsoft keeps canceling all the 360 mmos.

one thing i like over the 360 on my ps3 is the fact it is a all in one gadget.

i can play games, surf the net, stream my fave animes, catch up on bbc iplayer, watch dvds and BR's, print my emails and photos without the need to switch devices. it is the epitome of convenience for me and blu tooth is just genius since i can pair up my printer and mobile phone ear piece. im not restricted to buying over priced sony only hhd's or headsets.

however, i agree, as gaming devices they are similar, but as far as it goes with a variety of entertainment and being a multi media device, the ps3 kicks ass.

As for Killzone 2, it's an opinion thing. And it takes some getting used to.

Console based web browsers may not be that great, but I have used the PS3's more than I thought I would and glad it has it. Sure I'd rather use my PC, but if I'm in front of my TV, my PS3 is on and I need some quick info it works pretty damn well.

R2 is a good game.  It's just drastically different from R1 which doesn't sit well with a lot of people.  Oh, and the Deathmatch on R2 is average.  The Co-Op on the other hand is great fun.
