1. Wii will sell more than 300 million consoles by the end of console generation.

2. Wii Sports will sell more copies than Wii systems. So more than 100% attach rate for Wii Sports.

3. Wii will outsell PS1/2/3 combined by end of current generation.

4. Wii will achieve  over 70% market share.

5. Wii, PS3 and  X360 will all sell over 100 million consoles by end of generation.

6. PS3 and X360 will finish equal in total unit sales by end of console generation.

7. 7th generation will last more than 15 years. Wii will have very, very looooong sales legs.

8. DS will reach 80% market share in the portable war with PSP.

9. Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii will sell more than 30 million copies each.

10. GTA IV  will sell over 20 million on XBox 360 and PS3 combined.

I have seen a lot of outrageous predictions made but these are the Top 10 that I can think of. Please give me your suggestions or comment on the top 10 outrageous predictions in the above thread.

Most of those are completely outrageous, yes. I'd say the most likely one is #9, and the least likely one is #6(Imagine them selling the exact same amount :p)

I don't even understand why wii sports sales count in eu and us. In japan is where it should count becuase its seperate. Other then that wii sports comes bundled with every wii so the sales of it are a little misleading.

I dont know about #7 I definately see teh wii going but not the Ps3 and 360 for that long.

How do you figure WiiSport will have more than 100% attach rate? That would mean people in Japan would have two own it twice or something wouldn't it?

Unless WiiSports and WiiSports resorts are going to be counted as the same.

That's definitely Outrageous, that's for sure.
