I really don't see any need for another discussion like this. 99% of the people have only one of the consoles anyway and until one of the two versions has confirmed quality issues there's no reason whatsoever to choose one over another.

I always have to chuckle when Sony fans, who often (rightfully so) claim FFVII to be one of the best games ever, complain about disc swapping.

in 1997, even the psn version released in japan its a single 1800mb

we have choice now =D.

No matter what you try to argue here, people are going to get the game for their favorite console, most people who have 360 and PS3 have a favorite console of the two, while the other is for exclusives. A few small things like disk swapping, or 'looks good next to versus in my collection' aren't going to swing anyone to the other console unless they truly are unbiased toward both consoles, which is very very rare i might add. There has to be some major differences to pull a fanboy to the other console.

wow, someone beat me to the point. This is the real answer and I can't understand how it took over 100 posts for this to appear.

Huh? Get FF 13 on 360? I don't know what all this madness is about teh 360 controller being better. More colorful perhaps but batteries are wack. "Oh noes I need moar batteries," *grabs* dildo* "good thing I have a few spare".

Some people, they prefer DVD over bluray. Usually, they are people who don't own a bluray player. For the rest of us who enjoy 7.1 surround and the option of not disk swapping, well, we'll be playing the PS3 version of the game.

"But disk swapping was ok in 1997"

Yes it was and so were the spice girls.

Love it :P  So true.  Well if your a FF fan you'd be getting ff13 vs! So why have it on both systems.  JRPG's are going to be a dying breed on the 360 once the ps3 starts pumping out JRpg's.

lol, is that a joke? If anything all HD JRPGs will be multiplat, because the 360 already has a proven JRPG fanbase and sales. Absolutely nothing staggering, but still. For Japan a PS3 version is a must, so be prepared to see most HD JRPGs go multiplat.

The only platform I see pumping out the JRPGs is Wii though. Especially after the DQX announcement.

Well i will buy the game on the console i planned to from the beginning lol.

if you have XBOX live...and own both console, why bother buying it on PS3?
look at what the achievements you will have...

so it is really up to the gamer

as for JRPG's going multiplat... thats good news...but still i would go for PS3 in JRPGs
c'mon, Sony can produce JRPG(like WKC)...and the JRPG genre is still growing...

side note: MS produce LO, right?
so it means, MS can produce JRPGs...

although 360 version may have to be tuned down in places like textures audio and cg cutscenes. the game will be the same imo. it all depends on how many dvd`s will be in use.

lost oddessey took 4, and with ff13 looking the much larger game i highly doubt it will be over 4. either way 360 fans should be happy as there getting the same game.

Exactly there's no shame in having gimped audio or cutscenes. It will basicly be the sqame game on 4-7 DVD's.
