Forums - Sony - E3 2009: How [Sony] Could Steal the Show

KH3 has a stronger chance of being a PS3 exclusive then a Xbox 360 exclusive.

Nomura loves Sony and Nintendo those are his platforms

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Inviting EA and Capcom for Mass Effect 2/Lost Planet 2 PS3 announcements would also help.

This would indeed be the thing. We know that GT 5 and things like that are coming, a release date won't blow anyone away. Making sure that certain games can't steal their thunder by being 360 exclusive, is their best bet to "win" e3. The number of games they have in the making right now, is enough to keep this year going from their side.

I saw Kingdom Hearts III in that article...how many times do Soriku and others have to say this? That game won't be on the PS3. The demographic doesn't fit that system anymore. I will be laughing when Square-Enix/Disney show a trailer of it during Sony's conference, and it will say after the trailer, "ONLY ON Wii" or "ONLY ON Xbox 360." Who will have the the last laugh then?

/points towards the 2million units from a brand new ip LBP sold in the west which... is almost as much as KH2 sold in the west too. which is not a new IP and was on much bigger install base and LBP Isnt done selling.

/points to 700k copies of MGS4 sold in japan. I know its a different demographic but it shows ps3 has selling power in japan. ff13 will release this year and when it does ill point to that instead

KH3 could most likely match KH2 in sales of about 4million sold being ps3 exclusive. there is evidence to support that already

I think he means about how VGC, Gaf, 1up and several other sites were completely inaccessible when FFXIII was announced for the 360 last year.

Yes, he ment that.... and any other gaming website.

Sony has already announced a great 2009 lineup, and we have a good idea for the bigger titles in 2010 (God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy). I think the big game reveal for the PS3 will be the Ico project, other than that let's get some firm release dates. I wouldn't expect a price cut or any game changing announcements on the Sony side. I certainly don't think Square of all companies is going to throw them a bone like a FF remake. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Square announce Versus as multiplat, and Final Fantasy's 360 release in Japan.

I think Microsoft's conference will be far more interesting since they really haven't announced much.

A problem I see with this here is that it has an entire Sony fanboy spin to it. A bunch of wishful bullet points that Sony fanboys hope happen. These are things, even if they come true, only matter to Sony fanboys. They don't change the market much, or have that large of an impact. They lead to Sony fanboys trumpeting they are winning. Hopes of stealing Mass Effect is one, along with God of War III supposed to be big game changers.

In the end, Nintendo talking about puppies and cuteness and more Wii Music is what wins out, as Nintendo seduces more casual players into their fold.

How could an article titled "How Sony Could Steal the Show", not be filled with wishful thinking?  That's the nature of these articles, and you will see many of them for the 360, PS3, and Wii.
