UE3 does NOT run great on PS3. Almost everyone with some tech knowledge knows this. This is the normal pure PR stuff.
Epic employee: Well, I think 360 exclusivity has-
Microsoft guy: *stuffs wad of cash into his hand*
Epic employee: Helped Gears of War...
Nah, but he's probably right. Free advertising and all, plus the money that Microsoft gives them (you know they do it), and the fact that even if Gears 2 was on PS3, it would struggle to sell a quarter of the 360 version's sales, because that's where the fanbase is. Same if MGS4 was on 360 (neither will happen, of course).

LMAO Very cute Kantor
Well knowing that I would buy the game if it ever came out on PS3 voids that bullshit statement :p
Focusing on one platform should always help. He's only pointing out the obvious - and even is fair enough to point out the obvious downside - your title and brand is only getting exposure on one platform.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
I completely believe this. Afterall, when your game is the cornerstone of the holiday releases for a console its obviously gonna do better then if its just another multiplat release...ala army of 2 or mercenaries 2.
Now they should ask Gurilla games and Insomniac the same question.
I thought it was obvious that exclusive games are always better than multiplaform games. Because they can focus on one platform and get as much out of it as possible instead of spreading their resources across 2+ platforms. Which is why Gears 1&2 are such great games.

There are always exceptions to the rule but generally speaking I would have to say that I agree with you.
