Epic employee: Well, I think 360 exclusivity has-
Microsoft guy: *stuffs wad of cash into his hand*
Epic employee: Helped Gears of War...
Nah, but he's probably right. Free advertising and all, plus the money that Microsoft gives them (you know they do it), and the fact that even if Gears 2 was on PS3, it would struggle to sell a quarter of the 360 version's sales, because that's where the fanbase is. Same if MGS4 was on 360 (neither will happen, of course).
