Forums - Gaming - Sony Copied Microsoft, But Where Is The Backlash?

XMB was on the PSP (before the 360 even came out). Trophies were a result of consumer and fanbase demands. And as for "remember where the idea came from"

I know Sony didn't start it (the idea of achievements were before both Sony and M$s time as game companies), but Insomniac says hi. Go look at the first Spyro

There's no backlash because Trophies are vastly inferior to achievements.

Once again, I thank everyone for posting.

oops sorry double post.

Xbox fans are more mature than sony fanboys. It's as simple as that.

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Well, in a sense, yes Sony did copy MS. However, companies do this, especially if they want to remain competitive. Sony's userbase really wanted something in response to the 360's achievement system, which was brilliant btw, thank you Microsoft!

It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but everyone has to remember that at times companies will do this to remain competitive

Yes, it isn't a bad thing as when you copy it's actually a compliment to the company that came up with the idea in the first place.
