Actually, after adjustments, they were even closer (3k) last week :)

And YoY will keep painting a different picture until September, when we reach the 1 year anniversary of the 360's price cut. I'll find them more significative after that date, because they will compare consoles at the same price as the year before (unless Sony cuts first, but I don't see why they should).

Up to that date, YoY just tells you that people likes to buy the same console for less money :)

360 60 gig with QOS 239 Euro.

PS3 with LBP 80 gig 399.

In the time I was there 2 360,s were bought no PS3,s were bought.

You just cant compete with those prices really.

its funny though... compare 360 08 year to ps3's 09. seriously people like to point out that ps3 is doing bad but it isnt even as bad as 360 last year. and compare 360s 09 to ps3s 08. 360 isnt even doing as good as the ps3

It is not one week, it has been the last month and a half.  (after the recent adjustments)

Weekly sales of PS3 within a few thousand of the 360 are becoming the normal week.

It is. It, however, doesn't change the difference in prices. PS3 is most expensive in Japan - I think more than in NA/EU. I could be wrong though...

Japan prefers PS3.

^ well looks like 360 vs ps3 gap is only like 1.5 million. 360 is doomed being half price and year head start with such a small lead
