I will reiterate my comments before that M$ is seriously under-estimating the value of the Halo brand. I know some might say that M$ is pimping the Halo brand, after all the tie-ins associated with the launch of Halo 3, but I have to disagree. Halo is A+++ brand, just like Batman with TDK or Spider-Man, Transformer and others, so it behooves M$ to treat the property as such. - Why, for crying out loud, is the Halo movie Trilogy still in limbo….are you frigging kidding me…get Peter Jackson and Weta asses to work on getting the films made. The turn around time to get a film made is 2-3 years, especially for a sFX intensive movie, such as this, but M$ needs to basically say screw it, and do a Marvel…make ur own darn film. Peter Jackson is looking for his next big thing, so let him do for Halo, what he did for LOTR, which is the greatest trilogy imho. - Halo 4 for the 360 isn’t needed, but instead, M$ needs to get working on Halo 4 as a launch title for xbox next. If M$ uses this as a launch title, the console would explode…especially if the next console has backward compatibility with 360 games. I would convert on launch day…at whatever cost. - Expand the Halo brand from just FPS. Halo Wars was the first example of what happens when you combine a AAA brand with a top notch development effort…you get the best RTS on any console to-date. M$ needs more exclusive content, so why haven’t we seen anything wrt to a Halo RPG or a Halo action title? We know that M$ had Ensemble tooling around with a Halo MMO, but a top notch Halo RPG would be a great project. The Halo Franchise is M$’s Mario, so M$ needed to look at Nintendo’s pimping of the plumber to see that the potential of a top notch IP is limitless, if you deliver AAA titles.
