We are addicted collectors. We leave no item box unsmashed. We are trained killers. We leave no enemy standing. We are gamers, and we have horrible obsessive compulsive disorders when it comes to gaming. There are no cures or doctors who can save us. Half the time we don’t even know what we’re doing when we do it.

Here are 9 video game OCD moments you know you are guilty of. Yes, 9. Not 10. I can’t count to 10 without checking if my cat is in my fridge, locking the front door, and clearing my internet cache because space aliens could be watching my every move.

 

#9: Picking Up Every Single Item In Fallout 3

If you walked around your house with a sack and filled it with cups, forks, wrenches, bottle caps, and irradiated soda cans, people would assume you were bat-shit crazy. Bethesda Software preyed on our inner obsession to pick up everything and then made us question if any of it was ever worth it. Max out your item slots and you become a sluggish, over-encumbered traveler - like a fat comic book nerd with too much Jedi flare pinned to his trench coat.

Or uh, everything but 6 and 9. I haven't played Fallout 3 and I don't have the ammo OCD thing.

I edited my post.  :P

And I'd probably be guilty of the Metroid and Mega Man ones if I played those series more often. Same for Sega, if I ever owned a Sega console.

Number 3 came out of nowhere, really, and I'm surprised by how much it smacked me across the face. I never really thought about it until now, but I do that a lot!

2 and 1 really stood out for me as well.
