Forums - Nintendo - Analyst Predicts Nintendo "Revolution" To Win the Console War

The irony is not complete until they write a ridiculous April's fools analysis about PS3's possible domination in the next years...

Hahahaha this is awesome

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

I remember reading this article!! I was a little offended that the 'Revolution' was dismissed so readily despite next to nothing being known about it... And that Gamespot should so happily disregard Nintendo, who have shaped and re-shaped the industry since the 80's.
I'm glad Nintendo have got the last laugh on this, but want them to push themselves again, or we could end up reading more crap like this in 10 or 15 years!

Man, hatred for the Revolution ran high back then. Nice to see that GameSpot gets to eat its own words.

Silly Alterego: they don't wait until April Fool's to do THAT.

What's sad about this piece is that it was originally intended to be satire. That is, Gamespot not only didn't believe the Wii would do much of anything in the current market, Gamespot was openly mocking the very things that have been moving consoles: affordable software, cheap development costs, innovative controls, etc. I've had difficulty taking Gamespot seriously ever since they posted this.

...well, that and the fact that Gamespot got caught revealing that they sell their review scores to publishers.

Ditto, I wonder how they've been doing since that, I know I quit reading them after it, but I doubt I'm in the majority.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Haha the comments are amazing. Everybody who bashed the "revolution" got totally owned a few months later.

Gold medal for this one: "revolution, in da leed. hahahahahhhahaahha.LMFAO! yeah, sure. the revolution will cause nintendo to go bankrupt!"
