I bought my girlfriend a ds and I find myself playing it a lot also. She gets some of those shovelware games and to be honest all of the ones that she has bought I believe are really fun. There are a lot of fun games that can be had for the ds. It will be a great purchase for you and if you like rpgs there are some good titles also that you can pick up. Go ahead and pull the trigger and buy.

Is good system! I have to play 18 games owned for my DS. Plus, in Soviet Russia, DS touches you!

Hey OP, how about making your own list of DS games that interest you?

If you're going to buy something to play games, shouldn't you kind of already know what games you want?  After all, that is the reason you're buying it right?

It's rather simple.  I'll use bullet points:

  • The DS has a lot of games I want to play.  Buy it.
  • I don't know what games the DS has or it doesn't have a lot of games I want to play.  Don't buy it.


This is not rocket science or braing surgery.  You have 1.1k posts on this website so you must know something about its lineup by now.  Do the math for yourself and make your decision.

Because I found it to be one of the few RPGs that I made me hate the game the more I played it. The first 5 hours were a blast! Then it just got progressively worse and I returned it.

Wasn't too fun and I think it's vastly overrated.
